tonsils...yuck

Well, it's been over 2 months since I've posted anything.  I guess down here I just get away from college life and forget my daily routine of checking my e-mail, xanga, facebook, blackboard and myspace.  Oh well.  I definitely haven't missed it!  I do miss you guys...even though no one even reads these anymore.

Tomorrow I get my tonsils taken out.  I have to be on a clear liquid diet for 10 days and I can't travel.  I'm kind of scared.  The worst part will be the IV in my hand, I'm sure, and I'm also sure I'm worrying about nothing, but we'll see.

If you have time, say a prayer for me.  I'll need it.

HOW ARE YOU??

Yesterday, my cousin Kevin was leaving his house while his son Noah (3) and daughter Rachel (9) were playing in the yard.  He started backing out of his driveway, and ran over Noah's foot and leg.  He was life-flighted to Children's Mercy in K.C.  According to the latest medical report today, they don't know how much nerve damage was done, so they may have to amputate his leg.

Please pray for Noah, and his healing, but especially for Kevin.  I can't imagine the burden he has of hurting his own child.  I'm also worried about any DFS intervention with negligence or a court appeal or something.  Just pray for my family.

So it's almost wedding season.
Blah.
Oh well.
I got to see my wonderful friend Andria this weekend and help her plan some of her wedding.  We tried on bridesmaid's dresses, too, which was an experience for me.  Store clerks fondling me is not my idea of a great weekend, but I guess it's over with anyway.  I always feel awkward when I'm a bridesmaid because I'm practically 3 feet taller than everybody else, but the day's not about me anyway.

Blah again.  School just needs to end right now so I don't have to finish all my homework.

EDIT:::
I found out that I got the Huffman Scholarship today!!  I am so excited!!  (You would be excited too if you just found out you got $2000 to pay for your tuition!!)

All in all, a successful Easter weekend...I guess.
-Got off of work early on Friday, so that was nice.
-Colored eggs on Saturday morning.
-Went and saw the play Charlotte's Web in Springfield.  Each character had a double that signed their part, and most of the signers were little kids, so that was pretty amazing.  Especially since I have a heart for deaf children, thanks to my amazing cousin Jake.
-Saw all my family Saturday night and played some fun games.
-Sang at church on Sunday, probably the best I've ever sounded, so that was kind of a confidence booster.
-Cooked, and then ate, some amazing barbeque with my awesome family.
-Ran into my mom's car.  Oops.
-Saw my cute little "niece," Reinah, who is teething, so she wasn't very happy.
-Donated a bunch of my crap to tons of different people, so now I can buy more stuff!

Hope everyone had a happy Easter, like I did!!
